Vernon Hargreaves ruled out for Buccaneers-Dolphins
The final injury report is out.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have to play the Miami Dolphins without the aid of cornerback Vernon Hargreaves, who’s been ruled out with a hamstring injury. He’ll join quarterback Jameis Winston and defensive end William Gholston on the sidelines, both of them are also dealing with injuries.
We can expect Robert McClain to take over for Hargreaves in the slot, with Ryan Smith and Brent Grimes likely manning the outside cornerback spots. Ryan Fitzpatrick will start at quarterback for Winston, again.
Other than these three players, though, the Bucs are mostly healthy. Everyone else participated fully in Friday’s practice, and should be ready to go for Sunday’s game. That is, everyone except for wide receiver Bernard Reedy: he was waived in favor of receiver Freddie Martino, today.
As for the Miami Dolphins, they’re mostly healthy, too. Ndamukong Suh was the biggest question mark, but he practiced fully on Friday and wasn’t even given a status of questionable for Sunday’s game, indicating he’s almost certain to play.
