Kevin Cash isn’t concerned about Chris Archer
Archer will have no limitations during tonight’s start against the Red Sox
Tonight, Chris Archer will be making his first start since being pull for a tight forearm during his last outing on Saturday against the Chicago White Sox.
During that start, Archer only pitched to two hitters — both of whom, homered — while he only threw fastballs that were a few ticks below his usual velocity.
Archer underwent an MRI which revealed there was no structural damage and second opinions confirmed the original diagnosis of forearm tightness. After playing catch with team doctors during the week, Archer threw all of his pitches and determined he’d be ready to pitch this weekend.
Kevin Cash won’t be limiting Chris Archer tonight either, as he’ll let him keep pitching late into the game as long as he is effective on the mound.
