Saints-Buccaneers flexed to 4:25 pm on national television
For the first time in years, a late-season Tampa Bay Buccaneers game has been moved to get it on national television. The December 11 home game against the New Orleans Saints will be shown around the country at 4:25 p.m. ET instead of its original 1:00 p.m. ET time slot. The game will be televised on FOX.
The 6-5 Bucs and 5-6 Saints are both in hot pursuit of the Atlanta Falcons for the NFC South lead, and both teams have a shot at a wild card playoff spot if they can’t catch the Falcons. This game could be crucial to determining the NFC’s playoff picture.
For the first time since 2010 the Bucs have a realistic chance at earning a playoff berth, though they will need a bit of help to get there. Tampa Bay has a tough schedule ahead of them, while the Falcons have an easy one and need to drop at least one game.
