Or at least the first fight we know of.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t had any training camp fights that we know of so far this year, but the first finally happened: defensive end Noah Spence and offensive lineman Cole Gardner got into it during a drill today, and WFLA has the video. Watch it here:

Eh, that’s pretty tame. Spence says something to Gardner, Gardner pushes him, Spence punches him (not a smart move considering Gardner’s wearing a helmet), and then they wrestle a bit before they’re separated.

This sort of stuff happens in every training camp, and often goes unnoticed. It doesn’t matter much either way, as long as it stays confined to practice. I mean, it’s not healthy, but it’s not all that important either.

One thing it is very good for: the Hard Knocks cameras. If HBO caught this, you can bet they’ll show it on the show—and probably some previews, too.
