Jessica Cook (Photographer)

September 8th, 2019

I sat in the middle of a bar with a couple of friends as we watched a coworker of ours start his set on the stage in front of us, he spat a couple of decent bars. I felt like it was worth the drive over.  It was a small bar, dark with the occasional stream of colored lights that flowed around the room, it seemed like a decent place to grab a drink or two and simply chill with some friends. It didn’t take long for a small crowd started to form in front of the stage. Some were sober enough to appreciate the sound if you were able to see the occasional nod and hear them cheer over the base, others... Read More

February 3rd, 2018

What my friends and I like to do on our down time is have mock photo shoots at random locations throughout Tampa Bay . It gives us, young adults a sense of adventure without breaking the bank. So on a random Thursday afternoon, I dragged my friends out into Downtown Tampa with my camera in hand, ready for any weird model poses with pretty backgrounds. We began walking through The Straz Center to check out some of the new art pieces that were promoting upcoming musicals, which were at the time Phantom of the Opera and School of Rock. It wasn’t until after our mini photo shoot in front of these... Read More

November 11th, 2017

Today was an interesting day.  It started with this fellow in a robe coming up to me. He had the most intense gaze and this magical, calming voice. I remember that we spoke — he said something, but I can’t quite recall what it was.  The next thing I knew, he was gone and I found myself with an overwhelming compulsion to go and visit the Star Wars and the Power of the Costume Exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg.
