Things to do for Christmas in the Tampa Bay area
It is true when people say that time flies when you are having fun, and so we are since just 26 days are the countdown for Christmas. If you are like me and like to take Christmas to the next level Tampa Bay has lots of activities (as always) for Christmas this year, starting this Saturday December 2nd at downtown for the 36th annual Christmas parade from 11 am to 4 pm at the Curtis Hixon Waterfront with a Santa festival starting at 4pm offering activities like free photos with Santa for the little ones and why not the whole family too. Make and take arts and crafts right there at the festival and other games to share with everyone. On the other side if you are still looking for decorations to make your house glow with the Christmas spirit, the next day Sunday 3rd a market in Valrico will host more than 50 local artisans selling their Christmas decorations, you will be able to find food trucks and activities for kids, as well as live music during the market selling ours. This event is at “The Marie’s fashion and gift boutique” in Tampa, you can start heading there at 9:30 am. Majority of the events in Tampa are always kid and pet friendly, and some other exclusively for adults as is it the ugly sweater party at club Prana on Saturday, December 16th at 9:00 pm, have a drink and get the perfect excuse to dust off that favorite sweater from Grandma that you are too embarrassed to wear in public because this is the occasion to even win a prize if your sweater is the ugliest. This holiday season make sure to enjoy the house’s decorations all around Tampa, some neighborhood have innovated decorations at their homes, you can just take a ride around Downtown Tampa, around SoHo to look for inspiration for your home, or just to have a random activity to do at night, I can guarantee the driving is going to be worth it.
